The study is being led by McHenry County Division of Transportation and supported by Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The lead consultant for the study is HDR Inc., an architecture and engineering firm. Four additional sub-consultants and one vendor - each with unique expertise - will support HDR Inc.

The goal of the Division is to provide transportation and planning to address the demands of maintaining the ever increasing lane miles in McHenry County in a safe and efficient manner and to implement improved access management policies. |

FHWA adds value to the delivery of the Federal highway programs by administering and overseeing these programs to ensure that Federal funds are used efficiently. FHWA will be a reviewing agency. |
